Tutor10x is seeking current or former academics (lecturers, tutors, course coordinators) who have established relationships within Australian tertiary institutions to join us as Academic Partnership & Student Experience Managers.

This is a unique opportunity to leverage your existing network and industry knowledge to help students access real-world, industry-aligned capstone and internship experiences—while earning ongoing commission income.

Why this role exists: Breaking into the Australian higher education sector is challenging. We're looking for trusted insiders—people who understand how institutions work, who have credibility with faculty and administration, and who can advocate for innovative student experiences from within.

🎯 The Role

As an Academic Partnership & Student Experience Manager, you will:

Partnership Development (Business Development)

  • Act as Tutor10x's point of contact with your affiliated institution(s)
  • Present Tutor10x's Smart Project and Capstone programs to faculty, course coordinators, and academic leadership
  • Arrange and deliver presentations to relevant stakeholders (we provide all materials and training)
  • Nurture relationships and guide institutions through the partnership process
  • Invite Tutor10x leadership to present where appropriate, or deliver presentations independently

Student Experience Officer (Ongoing Support)

  • Welcome and onboard students during Orientation Day for each cohort
  • Explain how the semester/program works, including:
    • Submission requirements to their institution's LMS (Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard)
    • Deliverable submission to the Tutor10x platform
    • Supervisor expectations and communication protocols
    • AI Agent support tools available to students
  • Serve as the first point of contact for student enquiries and support
  • Liaise between students, institutional coordinators, and Tutor10x supervisors
  • Monitor student progress and flag any concerns early

💰 Commission Structure

This is a commission-only engagement with recurring revenue potential:

Component Commission
First Cohort 10% of program fees
Subsequent Cohorts 10% ongoing (as long as you remain the primary point of contact)
Student Experience Role Included in the above commission (not additional work for free)

Example: If a cohort of 20 students enrols at $1,500 per student = $30,000 total → You earn $3,000 commission. This repeats each semester as long as the partnership continues and you serve as the Student Experience Officer.

✅ Ideal Candidate

  • Current or former lecturer, tutor, or academic staff at an Australian university, TAFE, or registered training organisation
  • Existing relationships with faculty, course coordinators, or academic leadership
  • Understanding of capstone/WIL/internship requirements in IT, Business, or related disciplines
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Passion for student success and industry-aligned education
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
  • ABN registered (or willing to obtain one before contract execution)

⚖️ Legal Framework (Fair Work Compliance)

This role is structured as a genuine independent contractor engagement in accordance with the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) and Fair Work Ombudsman guidelines:

  • You will operate as an independent consultant with your own ABN
  • You are free to set your own hours and methods of work
  • You may work for other entities concurrently, provided no conflict of interest
  • You will issue tax invoices to Tutor10x for commission earned
  • You are responsible for your own taxes, superannuation, and insurance
  • You are not entitled to employee benefits (leave, minimum wage, etc.)
  • Either party may terminate the agreement with reasonable notice

Note: This is a commission-only role with no base salary or retainer. Earnings are directly tied to successful partnership outcomes and ongoing student cohort enrolments.

🔹 Role Summary

We are seeking motivated individuals to act as Authorised Independent Consultants for Tutor10x’s One-Day-Hire™ initiative. This is a commission-only position governed by an independent contractor agreement in compliance with the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth).

As a One-Day-Hire Agent, you will help identify, connect with, and onboard industry sponsors (employers) to host or support One-Day-Internship events. Your efforts will help match job-ready students with real hiring opportunities.

🔹 Responsibilities

  • Operate as an independent consultant with your own ABN (Australian Business Number).
  • Be listed on the Tutor10x website as an Authorised One-Day-Hire Agent.
  • Use Tutor10x’s CRM system to manage and track leads.
  • Receive warm leads (where applicable) and generate new leads in your area of focus.
  • Actively network with employers, HR managers, team leads, and hiring decision-makers in:
    • Business Analysis
    • Data Analysis
    • Cyber Security
    • Project Management
    • Digital Marketing
    • Software Development
    • And other relevant disciplines
  • Pitch the One-Day-Hire™ sponsorship opportunity to employers.
  • Assist sponsors in designing and setting up a real-world challenge for student candidates.
  • Comply with Tutor10x guidelines, training, and use of templates.

🔹 Commission Structure

  • Consultants will be paid a commission per confirmed sponsorship deal.
  • Specific commission terms and payment structure will be outlined in your Independent Contractor Agreement.
  • No base salary is provided. You are free to organise your work hours and methods, provided you act in good faith and in alignment with Tutor10x values.

🔹 Required Qualifications

  • ABN registration (or willingness to obtain before contract execution).

🔹 Legal Note on Engagement

This role is for an independent contractor, not an employee of Tutor10x. The contractor:

  • Will be free to set their own work hours and methods (no control by Tutor10x over day-to-day operations).
  • Will issue invoices to Tutor10x for commission earned.
  • Must cover their own taxes, superannuation, and insurance.
  • Is not entitled to employee benefits such as sick leave, annual leave, or minimum wages.
  • Is not required to accept work offered, and may work for other entities concurrently, provided there is no conflict of interest.

This engagement complies with the Fair Work Ombudsman’s guidelines for avoiding sham contracting and ensures a genuine business-to-business relationship.
